Making Books, tips, tools and techniques
This is a hands-on workshop for adults with beginning or intermediate experience. It is an overview of bookmaking with a focus on tools and techniques. Emphasis is on the use of bone folders, adapting tools for book work, techniques beyond measuring, weights and measures, adhesives and their use, fasterners, closures, understanding the architecture of the book. The workshop includes making two simple book forms, the accordion and single section pamphlet.
No experience necessary, but it helps to have hand and/or craft skills.
